As part of a performance-training programme by Studio Baroque IMEP, directed by Sophie Karthäuser, François de Carpentries and Karine Van Hercke present a participatory creation based on the journey of Ulysses, as experienced by the women (Calypso, Circe, Nausicaa, Penelope, etc.) who marked his path, through operas from the 17th and 18th centuries. A mythical journey revisited through a contemporary interpretation of their emotional experiences, giving voice to these women, symbols of the forces that animate and motivate human existence, through which the hero and traveller merely passes.
